Captain Mark
Captain of DeepWater
Captain Mark has loved boats and fishing since he was a kid. A respected diesel mechanic by trade, he has held a captain's license for over a decade and has been running DeepWater since 2017. He brings calm experience and deep local knowledge to every trip.
Captain Bubba
Captain of ShortFuse
Captain Richard Lee II, known to everyone as Bubba, is a fourth generation fisherman. He started as a deckhand in 1999 and has spent nearly 20 years as a licensed captain. When he is not in the Gulf, he is freshwater fishing.

DeepWater
35 foot Bertram
State Waters Licensed
A 1978 Bertram restored in 2024, blending classic seakeeping with modern electronics. Twin 330 HP Cummins engines cruise at 24 knots. Clean air conditioned cabin, private head, and a spacious deck built for fishing.
ShortFuse
41 foot Egg Harbor
State and Federal Waters Licensed
A restored mid 1970s Egg Harbor licensed to run beyond state waters into the federal Gulf. Modern radar and navigation, large cockpit, air conditioned salon, and teak joinery throughout. Built for serious offshore days.
State vs. Federal Waters
Both of our boats can fish state waters (within 9 miles of shore). A federal license is required to fish farther offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. ShortFuse is licensed for both, so we can chase deeper structure and species like Red Snapper during federal seasons.
Family Friendly
We welcome anglers of all ages and skill levels. Our crew loves teaching kids the basics and making sure everyone has a safe, fun day on the water.
